Slowdowns [fixed]

Dear Freesounders,

We are experiencing problems with Freesound servers and as a result Freesound is being quite slow.?We are working on it and we’ll try to find a solution as soon as possible, we’ll let you know.

EDIT: FYI,?during the last weeks we made?a number of improvements which significantly reduced the number of slowdowns, making them almost inappreciable most of the time. Yesterday (15th March 2017), we were finally able to deploy a new set of?changes which should make the slowdowns completely disappear and make Freesound faster.

    Thanks for the message. But even it is slow sometime I am still very glad with the freesound website. It did open the world for me.

    Thanks for your nice comments,
    We managed to improve a bit the situation with temporary workarounds. However, the “definitive” solution won’t come until late this week or early next week. We’ll keep you posted!

    I can see you weren’t kidding. The last sound I uploaded was moderated in less than a day. Now it’s been at least 3 days and nothing’s happened. Man, has this seriously been going on for a whole month?

    Hi all,

    Thanks for your support comments!
    The situation with slowdowns has improved significantly and in fact there is no relation between these slowdowns and the moderation time. Sounds are moderated by a team of volunteers (thanks again guys, you’re awesome!) and sometimes it takes more sometimes less time. However we occasionally still have slowdown problems which will be fixed in the coming days once we are finally able to deploy some changes in our infrastructure that have been blocked in the last days.

    We’ll let you know but the final fix should arrive really soon!
